CroakerQuest is a family friendly board game for those who wish to learn more about what it takes to have a frog as a pet. Help your frog navigate around a pet shop full of dangers in order to collect all their necessary items for their survival and comfort.
The board was designed to be the floor of the pet shop, with separate pieces that come together like a puzzle. In addition to this, the board also includes shelves with boxes and animals stuck on top. This adds a more realistic and fun element to the game.
To make the game more realistic I decided to incorporate 3D printed figures on the shelves such as different sizes boxes to show diversity in food, enclosures and other reptile/amphibian equipment. I also chose to 3D print the 'threats' of the game which are the CCTV camera, the toad and the snake. These are glued on the shelves to make it easier and faster for the player to assemble the game together.
The game consists of 68 pieces in total. 48 of these are cards which are essential in order to win the game. The goal is to have a total of 10 cards, corresponding to the needs of the chosen frog card (character) and be outside the shop without getting caught by the threats.
